MEK Agribusiness Inc. develops integrated agribusiness solutions that combine production, infrastructure, technology, finance and local participation into scalable delivery platforms. These solutions are designed to improve food security, strengthen livelihoods and build climate resilience across the Global South.
Our aquaculture solutions include lagoon-based systems, reservoir and inland-water production systems, pond farming, hatchery platforms and biosecure production models supported by water quality monitoring and feed optimisation.
We develop investment-ready blue economy models for coastal and inland water environments, including shrimp, crustacean and fish production systems, with options for mangrove-integrated aquaculture and ecosystem-sensitive design.
Our solutions extend beyond the farm to create agro-industrial clusters that integrate processing, packaging, feed manufacturing, storage, logistics and training infrastructure.
We design systems that combine aquaculture and agriculture in closed-loop production cycles, alongside regenerative agriculture, greenhouse systems, hydroponics and water-efficient farming models.
We deploy real-time monitoring, IoT-enabled farm management, blockchain traceability, AI-assisted production optimisation and digital market integration to improve efficiency and resilience.
Our inclusive delivery models incorporate community production clusters, outgrower systems, shared infrastructure, technical extension and enterprise incubation to promote local ownership and broad-based economic participation.
Our flagship proof-of-concept model is the Integrated and Sustainable Community-Driven Aquaculture Value Chain Initiative for the Keta Lagoon Complex Ramsar Site. Developed as a large-scale, climate-resilient aquaculture and value chain platform, the initiative is currently under consideration for implementation. It is intended to bring together production, processing, logistics, export systems and community inclusion within a single coordinated framework. At full scale, the initiative is expected to support annual production of approximately 45,000 metric tonnes, catalyse substantial agribusiness investment and generate more than 60,000 direct and indirect jobs.
